Travel Blog: San Francisco

In March 2018, we escaped the dreary gray of Brooklyn in the late winter and took a week-long trip to California. We’re approaching the one-year anniversary of this trip and I’m feeling nostalgic for the new places and warm weather, so I figured I’d reminisce here.

This was my first ever trip to the west coast, and our first stop was San Francisco. More specifically, our first stop was In-N-Out. But then we made our way to the Botanical Gardens and Sutro Baths, which were both such a breath of fresh air (literally and figuratively) after 3 months of winter in NYC and a 6-hour flight. We spent the next day shuffling around without any real plan, and although the day started out with pouring rain, by the time we were done with breakfast (at Brenda’s of course) it was sunny and beautiful. Our stops that day included the Painted Ladies/Alamo Square, Mission Dolores Park, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Golden Gate Bridge and Ghirardelli Square. Boy were my dogs barkin’ at the end of the day, but you wouldn’t have to pay me to do it again.
